Abstract:

Coloring subject of a monochromatic images is applicable in many domains; in addition that is reliable to human eye. The goal of tin's thesis is to build a software package. This software to display the monochromatic image in colors by using two independent methods: histogram modification method to derive three gray level images, each one stand for one of the three primary colors (red, green, and blue). The look up table method which is loaded with control parameters suggested in tin's work. 3- A spatial technique, called the popularity algorithm, was used to build a palette color table that has the ability to display the color image on a VGA monitor in PC computer. The two mentioned methods have been applied on different images and a useful kinds of colored images were obtained which can be used for different application.
