Abstract:

Elastic magnetic electron scattering form factors have been calculated for lp-shell nucleus (15N) and sd-shell nuclei ( 27Al and 29Si) .The model space wave functions for 15N and 27Al correspond to the extreme singie-hole wave functions, while for 29Si correspond to extreme single-particle wave function. These do not yield a complete description of the problem. Core-polarization effects are taken into consideration, giving a reasonable agreement with experimental measurements. Results are interpreted in terms of the harmonic-oscillator wave function using different values of the size parameter.
