Ebola disease ..... causes and treatment

Among the events and activities of Biotechnology Research Center , the seminar entitled (Ebola disease ..... causes and treatment) was held under the auspices of the President of the university and the presence of a number of professors and researchers from various relevant ministries and considered this seminar among a series of symposia and workshops inside and outside Iraq to gain access to accurate and useful recommendations for the prevention and treatment of disease, the symposium was opened by reading any of the Holy Quran and then the University president prefer throwing his beginner by welcoming attendees and participants and organizers of the symposium thanking them for the efforts. He said his words about the history of the disease and the statistics of the World Health Organization (WHO) on the incidence of and mortality and concluded by the center management and members of the Preparatory Committee's recommendations out realistic paperless and activate this activity with the Ministry of Health, followed by the speech of the Center Manager Professor Abdul Jassim Muheisen , referring to habitual position on the establishment of such activities and seminars that are interested problems suffered by the community and come up with recommendations effective to contribute to solving these problems has been praised in the presence of Messrs stressed the directives of the President of the university president Esquire.
The meeting was called and then directed by Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Farhan and Dr. najwah Shehab Ahmed scheduled for hearing. Then gave the first lecturers Prof. Dr. Basim Al-Adhdad on behalf of the General Authority for Veterinary / Ministry of Agriculture lecture Ebola disease causes and prevention .
The second lecture was given by Dr. Tarek Jafar al-Lami, the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Muthanna under the development of vaccines for Ebola virus immune to the title
The third lecture by Dr. Sumaya Hasan Badri from the Ministry of Health under the title of preventive measures to prevent the entry of Ebola disease.

The session was closed by the lecture of Professor Dr. Rabah Najah Jabbar onr the molecular diagnosis of Ebola virus.
The seminar concluded with writing recommendations below:
1. dissemination of scientific and educational awareness among the citizens of the causes and risks of the disease and how to prevent it through visual media and print and audio due to the epidemiology of the disease and the lack of medicines and vaccines approved for treatment.
2. The need to emphasize the border crossing points to take the necessary precautions to prevent the entry of people who doubted to be positive for the disease, especially the citizens of the countries where the epidemic has spread.
3. emphasis on the Ministry of Health for the allocation centers and lounges to isolate people suspected of having the disease that these centers and lounges are fully isolated and unarmed far as possible from crowded places available where all safety requirements and the prevention of this disease, especially for workers to care for patients as well as providing the required treatments.
4. prevent the import of carrier animals to the causes of this disease, dogs and some kinds of birds particularly coming from countries affected by this disease.
5. preventing the importation of animal products, especially meat from countries where Ebola spreads and conduct laboratory tests of food and animal products entering Iraq to make sure they are free of viruses of the disease disease.
6. travel ban at the present time to the States which spreads out the epidemic, but necessary in exceptional cases and taking all the necessary precautions and measures to prevent exposure to infection with the virus.
