The importance of corrosion is techno — economic ,i.e.reducing material losses resulting from corrosion of piping, tanks, metal components of machines, ships, bridges, marine structures, etc.
The present work is concerned with constructing a simulation computer program of multi –component absorption – stripping network through the use of rigorous method based on Otto Burninghum sum- rates method by using MAT LAB 6.5 package.
The present work has been mainly aimed to find a relationship between current densities of individual copper and zinc anodes with percentages of brass alloy plating in certain solutions .The influence of various variables on the individual plating of copper and zinc that would provide good plating on graphite bar (cathode) using copper and zinc as anodes has been investigated.
The principle aim of this project is to show if it is possible to use the activities coefficients at infinite dilution to find the parameters of different models. It was suggested two modern methods for calculating the activities coefficients at infinite dilution (γ∞), MOSCED method (modified separation of cohesive energy density) and SPACE method (Solvatochromic Parameters for Activity Coefficient Estimation).
Complex chemical equilibrium usually occurs at severe conditions in which experimental measurements are very difficult. Therefore, in order to obtain accurate theoretical results, attention had been directed to investigate the existing methods, and to modify the most suitable one to give accurate results. This work included both theoretical analysis and experimental work.In the theoretical analysis, an adequate method for calculating chemical equilibrium in a predominantly gaseous, multi-component reactive mixture was investigated and successfully applied.
The object of this research is to fined additives for oil base stocks which have the ability to raise its viscosity. Three polymers (polyisoprene 1502, 1320, Butile) where selected for that purpose. The three type of
An equation for determining the distance that a suspended dust particle in the gas (taken as air) needs to settle has been obtained as a function of height of the chamber, velocity of the air, and diameter of the dust particle. This traveling distance by a particle with certain diameter also represents the maximum length of the chamber which the same particle will settle in, particles with larger diameters will settle out of the chamber, whereas particles with smaller diameters will settle in the chamber. The chamber, here, was assumed to be an infinite length chamber without walls to li
Rheological studies on printing inks (adhesion type inks) were carried out using various alkyd resin concentrations. Several properties of ink were investigated such as viscosity ,shear rate and shear stress. The effect of time and concentraton of alkyd resin on the viscosity was also studied and discussed at 25 c0 . The percentages of alkyd resin considered were 33, 28 and 23 wt% for time range of 0–35 sec using Rheology international R1:I:M viscometer at different values of speed and spindles size .
Because of the practical importance of analyzing and controlling the systems arises the need to study the frequency response analysis for any system of several industrial plants. The frequency response used for the studies of dynamic characteristics of chemical processes and control loops in the present work. The process control implemented for different control strategies and compare between them by using frequency response techniques.
